- Problem and Learning Outcomes
College Algebra and Pre-Calculus are listed as one of the courses of the 22 system wide high-demand and low-success courses. Redesigning the course will have an impact on improving academic success, retention and the reduction in the percentage and number of repeatable grades.
Problem: Redesigned (Flipped) courses requires a shift in a pedagogical approach.
The opportunity to team up between, professors, adjunct faculty and teaching associates resulted in a unique collaboration. The flipped team met several times throughout the semester and even more online. Pedagogical conversations surrounding the Online Modules, Ticket-in-the-Door and in Class Discussion were the key focus. |
