Faculty Training
Due to the success of the College Algebra (Math 115) course redesign, the ‘flipped classroom’ has gained traction with the mathematics faculty. In 2014‐2015 Academic Year, proposals were submitted and funded modeling the ‘flipped classroom’, however there was an immediate need for training and professional development. Last Fall of 2015, 6 faculty members taught College Algebra (Math 115) and Pre-Calculus (Math 125) flipped and online for the first time. The primary focus of was to create training modules and a resource center for new and returning faculty. This Fall 2016 it is projected to have 8 new instructors teaching in this learning environment.
